The Challenge
Imageworks started as a video production partner, helping us produce our own promotional videos, as well as videos for our clients. It wasn’t long before they became one of our clients; they requested “something breakthrough” to attract a demanding, discerning audience. Imageworks not only wanted a way to rise above their competition but also wanted to offer a valuable component that would prove to be “irresistible.”
Our Role
We got to work reinventing their brand to send a fresh, new message to both existing and new customers. Reinventing Imagework’s brand involved creating a new graphic identity that reflected their creative and technically proficient capabilities. This new graphic identity extended to Imagework’s website redesign, print materials, and a multipurpose sales and marketing package. The marketing package included a DVD that displayed video samples and provided an overview of Imagework’s services, perfect for corporate prospects.
Remember when we mentioned adding an irresistible, yet valuable component? We did that through a custom-designed program dubbed “Zombie.” This program was designed to function as an online portal, enabling current clients to download stored media files and interact with on-going projects, saving time and money. Zombie provided value to project managers, sales teams, and marketing professionals by giving access to the most up-to-date files for presentations. Internally, Zombie incorporated a client-interactive, media management system, a proprietary database, and content manager to handle every aspect of client file management.

The Results
Having gone through over twenty-five logo iterations, we finally hit on the idea that they wanted their new logo to marry the idea of precision and creativity. The logo is meant to represent the letter “i”. A precise circle represents the dot, while the creative brush stroke represents the bottom part of the “i”. Having a solid foundation for their new brand, over the years, we branched out into creating two new websites, a client portal, naming for that portal (“Zombie”), stationery, collateral, and multiple ads.
