Diamond Credit Union provides financial services with a personal touch to the people of Berks County and the tri-county region.
The Challenge
As their online banking had gained quite the following over the years, Diamond realized it was time to update their homepage and key areas of the site to provide a better digital experience. But, they weren’t quite ready for a full website redesign. They also needed an internet marketing strategy to bring in new customers within their desired demographics.
Our Strategy
We zeroed in on the user experience of key pages to make a big impact within the confines of a smaller project. We started by going directly to the source and performing a UX study on a small group of customers to see how they navigate the current Diamond site and the problems they face.
From the feedback, we identified key areas that guided the rest of our work. We started by cleaning up the homepage with professional graphics and a simplified color scheme. Next, we improved the page hierarchy for more intuitive navigation. Finally, we set up a comprehensive internet marketing plan to bring in fresh traffic to the website.
The Results
The newly designed homepage and navigation opened up new avenues for the marketing team at Diamond. Our updates returned a 10% increase in traffic over the first year, with users visiting an average of two pages per visit. Over 15 years later, we continue to partner with Diamond, refine their user experience, and help them nurture their customer relationships.
