Telling the story of a local children’s book author through a custom website redesign and a stronger social media footprint.
With her first book set to release this summer, Hillary Daecher came to us looking for a stronger online presence through a website redesign and larger social media footprint. Writing is Hillary’s passion, so she wanted creative freedom to develop a brand that best represented her.

The Challenge
While Hillary’s books are written for an elementary school audience, her website needed to have a professional — yet approachable — feel to appeal to parents, teachers, and publishers. The site also had to be flexible, so it can grow with her as she continues to publish more books.
Our Strategy
Our conversations with Hillary allowed us to draw inspiration from the story of her first book, SOAR. The site entices visitors to learn more about her book through evocative storytelling. We also worked with Hillary to publicize her book on Amazon and Barnes & Noble and helped her cultivate authorship profiles on social media platforms.
The Results
Hillary’s website contains beautiful, hand-drawn illustrations that practically jump off the page. And a new blog allows her to write about the important topics that are present throughout her books. This will allow her to create stronger communities on her social media pages so users can build authentic connections with each other.
