Diamond Credit Union
2025 Website Redesign
Modernizing a trusted credit union’s website to improve user experience and grow membership.
Diamond Credit Union is more than a financial institution. They’re a community committed to empowering their members. With a strong presence in central PA, Diamond provides reliable financial services and banking solutions for both individuals and businesses.
The Challenge
Diamond Credit Union’s website had served them well since its 2019 launch, but at six years old, it was ready for an update. As new pages and resources had been added over the years, it became harder to navigate. Important actions weren’t always easy to find, and page layouts lacked consistency and visual hierarchy.
Diamond also wanted to separate its business banking content into a dedicated website tailored to the unique needs of their commercial customers. Overall, our goal was to modernize Diamond’s digital presence by creating a more engaging and user-friendly online experience that reflected their values, enhanced accessibility, and improved navigation.
Our Strategy
We approached the redesign with user experience at the forefront. Our designers simplified the navigation and created clear pathways for users to reach high-priority steps, such as accessing online banking, opening accounts, and applying for loans. We also developed a scalable system to organize Diamond’s large library of financial resources, making information much easier to browse.
Our developers built both sites in WordPress using flexible Gutenberg blocks, giving the Diamond team an easy way to manage content after launch. Behind the scenes, our SEO team set up 565 redirects to transition the existing business pages to the new business site. We also refreshed keywords and other SEO essentials to ensure both sites remained competitive in search.
The Results
The redesigned websites gave Diamond Credit Union a modern, user-friendly online presence while staying true to their established brand identity. Visitors can now find key information faster on topics such as online and mobile banking, member benefits, and community initiatives.
Just as importantly, the transition to two websites was completed without disrupting performance. Overall website sessions, users, and engagement time remained relatively steady after launch, allowing Diamond to improve the experience for both personal and business members without sacrificing web traffic.
