The Challenge
With a year-round calendar packed full of beloved rides, Strasburg Rail Road needed an effective way to promote its most popular offerings and turn interest into income.
Each month’s message required a strategic approach to content and timing to ensure high engagement and conversions.

We developed a visually rich email newsletter focused on clarity, consistency, and performance.
Every send highlights upcoming attractions with strong imagery, clear calls-to-action, and easily digestible details like age minimums, duration, and pricing.
The Results
Over 12 months, the Guest Services newsletter generated $17,583 in ticket sales, with 306 key event interactions — including 114 ticket purchases.
The emails also performed well from an engagement standpoint, with an average open rate of 19.4%, a click rate of 4.3%, and a click-to-open rate (CTOR) of 24.6% (more than double the typical CTOR).
