Alessandro’s
Website Design
Building a website presence for an upscale Italian restaurant that would unveil their new branding.
In the wake of a name change and the new leadership of Executive Chef Alessandro Fiorello, Alessandro’s (previously Arde Osteria) needed to rebrand. Alessandro and his staff masterfully created a unique dining experience in the heart of Wayne, PA and the Main Line. Alessandro’s features his vision of a modern touch on traditional southern Italian cuisine, which is paired beautifully with a rustic industrial space.
The Challenge
The team at Alessandro’s wanted a website that would be the first impression for their new branding; a design that would visually represent their new brand identity — rustic, family, modern, and romantic. Additionally, they wanted the website to feature a wood-burning concept that represents the fact that the restaurant specializes in wood-fired, Italian food made in a specialty wood-burning oven imported from Naples, Italy.
Our Strategy
Tower designed a single-page website with many unique elements including a custom, scrolling online menu, and image gallery. The user-friendly CRM made it very easy for the restaurant staff to make necessary menu and event updates throughout the site. Parallax scrolling added motion to the site and kept users engaged as they moved down the page. Our design was successful in bringing together the rustic and the modern with texturized old-world backgrounds and subtle graphics that evoked the presence of sparks and flames, along with modern brand colors.
The Results
As the restaurant faced the challenge of regulated indoor-seating capacity throughout 2020, the website provided links for online ordering for pick-up and delivery. This allowed Alessandro’s the opportunity to offer fine Italian dining to their guests when indoor dining wasn’t possible.
“Alessandro’s is a small, intimate, upscale space that customers immediately fall in love with. We were happy to be able to design an online space for Alessandro’s that creates those same feelings.”
